How to Paint a Ceiling Fan? Ceiling fan is an important part to control temperature within a room. Many homeowners are using ceiling fan to create breeze to bring down temperature of the room. Nowadays, ceiling fan is become revolutionary change by design and style with remote control. Aerodynamic in the fan can result in air delivery. When it is time to painting your ceiling, you must paint your ceiling fan that suit with your decoration. If you want to make your room more fresh and colorful, you must paint with light color scheme.  When you remodeling your ceiling fan, you don’t need to replace your existing ceiling fan.  There are simple tips how to paint a ceiling fan.

First, if your ceiling fan has a light kit, you must remove glass shades by unscrew the thumbscrews holding them in place. Second, if your ceiling fan, you should remove the light kit fitter assembly by removing the screw holding it in place. You must install them into the hole in the motor and screw them half way in place. Third, you must remove each blade and blade bracket from motor housing assembly.  You can set them and screw aside for later. Fourth, You must remove the screw holding the canopy in place. You slide the canopy down and disconnect the wiring. You must remove the ceiling fan from ceiling. Leave the mounting bracket attached to the ceiling.

Fifth, from the ground, you remove each blade from each blade bracket. You install the screw into each blade bracket half way in place. Sixth, from the ground, you remove the down rod from motor housing assembly. Then, you install the screw into hole in the top of motor housing assembly. Seventh, from the ground, you remove the bottom faceplate from motor housing assembly. Then, you set bolts and screw aside for later. Eighth, from the ground, you remove the pull chains. Then, you set them aside for later.

Ninth,  paint all parts with white –colored primer after laying them out on a piece of cardboard large enough for all part to lay on. After the white-colored primer is dry, you paint all of the parts. After the first coat of paint is dry, you apply a second coat of paint to all parts. Then, after the second coat of paint is dry, you re-assemble the ceiling fan.  From the ground, you re-install the down rod and secure the screws. Let the canopy drop to top of motor housing assembly. Form the ground, you re-install the faceplate. From the ground, you re-install the blades to the blade bracket. Hang the ceiling fan into mounting bracket and re-connect all wiring with electrical tape and wire nuts. Secure each blade and blade bracket to motor housing assembly. If your ceiling fan has a  light kit and pull chains, you must re-install them. Now, you just need to sit back and enjoy your new painted ceiling fan.
